A Bwakeoke Nyt Performance
A Collaboration with Maria Jeona Zoleta a.k.a. Extreme.Meth.In.My.Bloodstream
2019
This performance is a collaborative effort with the edgy and precarious sound of Zoleta's alter ego, Extreme.meth.in.my.bloodstream. In this piece, Madam Bwakeva brings out a huge karaoke machine and sings Filipino 90s song 'Lumayo Ka Man' (Wherever You May Be) and an 80s hit song, 'These Dreams'. It also includes a segment in which she sings an absurd jingle and engages some chosen people from the crowd to eat a popular Filipino street food called 'Kwek-Kwek' (quail eggs with orange-colored flour on a stick).

Intentionally, Madam Bwakeva infuses this performance with a kind of entertainment that titillates the audience with anticipation. Through a sequence of twisted scenarios, it unfolds unexpected audience engagement.
